[O]riginal Country House Hotel, Sharrow Bay has been shortlisted as the ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’ by The Food Awards England 2017 – with the help of guest votes.
Thanks to the mouth-watering food created by Sharrow Bay’s Head Chef, Mark Teasdale, diners ensured the hotel’s Lakeside Restaurant was back on the shortlist for a second year, having won the North Region Finals in 2016.
Voted for by the English public, The Food Awards are designed to recognise the efforts of England’s Restaurants, Pub food, Hotel food, Cafes and Bistros as well as shining the spotlight on the wonderful local producers who provide their delicious ingredients.
The ‘Best Hotel Restaurant’ award recognises those that provide cuisine of a truly exceptional standard, as well as demonstrating innovation and ambience all while providing a high standard of hospitality.
Oliver Smith, Hotel Director for Sharrow Bay said: “We are really grateful to our guests who have felt compelled and taken the time to vote for the Lakeside Restaurant. The team here at Sharrow Bay prides itself on providing excellent food along with exceptional service so to be recognised for this is something we are all really proud of.”
As part of the judging process, Sharrow Bay is invited to submit supporting evidence to complement their diner’s endorsement. An awards dinner will then take place in Manchester later this year, where the winners of all categories will be announced.
