Police appeal after south Cumbria till-snatch thefts

Police want to speak to these men

[P]olice are seeking to identify the men pictured in connection with two till-snatch thefts in south Cumbria.

Both offences occurred on August 25th – one at Booths, Ulverston, and one at Asda, Barrow.

In total, £500 was taken from the stores, £400 from Booths and £100 from Asda. The money was taken after staff were distracted at the till and offender/s reached over and took cash.

The men police are hoping to speak to are described as of Eastern European appearance. They are not believed to live in Cumbria.

Other similar offences have been reported nationwide.

Anyone who can identify the two men pictured or who has any information is asked to contact police on 101 and ask to speak to DC 2453 Pearman, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
