Man rescued from Barrow hedge

[A]t 8:04pm yesterday, Thursday 31 August firefighters were called to rescue an elderly man who had become stuck in a hedge, on Bay View Grove, Barrow-in-Furness, after falling whilst trimming it.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “The man, who was in his 80s, was removed from the hedge by fire crews from Barrow-in-Furness.

“The man was not injured during the incident.”
