Man arrested outside Bowness nightclub

[P]olice are investigating an incident involving a public order and police assault offence which took place in the early hours of Monday the 28th of August 2017 outside the Wheelhouse Nightclub in Bowness on Windermere.

At around 01:40 hours on  Monday the 28th of August 2017 officers received a report that a male was acting in a disorderly manner outside the Wheelhouse Nightclub in Bowness on Windermere. The officers spoke to the male who continued to be disorderly, and he was subsequently arrested. During the arrest procedure the male is alleged to have assaulted officers and committed a public order offence through the loud and repeated use of abusive language.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact PC 2386 Norman by telephoning 101 and using extension number 42386.
