MP praises work of Wigton Youth Station

[P]enrith and the Border MP Rory Stewart paid a visit to Wigton Youth Station recently to meet some of the young people and staff, and to have a tour of the facilities the centre provides for young people aged between 11 and 18. During the visit, Rory participated in a lively question-and-answer session with some of young people attending.

After the visit Rory said: “Wigton Youth Station is doing a fantastic job redefining our traditional views of the youth club as a place for young people to congregate, interact, and develop. I am grateful for the opportunity to help raise awareness of the excellent work they do for young people, and encourage anyone with an interest to get involved and do their bit to keep this centre going and help it go from strength to strength.“

Anyone interested in volunteering at the Youth Station can email [email protected] for more information.
