[A] woman has been taken to hospital after crashing her car into railings on Hardwicke Circus in Carlisle.
Police were called at 10:41pm on Monday, 4th September, to the report of a one vehicle collision involving a Ford Fiesta.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “The driver, a local, 20-year-old female, was taken to Carlisle Infirmary for treatment for minor injuries.”
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “A car had gone on to the pavement and into railings.
“The driver was in the care of the ambulance service and firefighters tackled the blaze using a hose reel jet.
“One firefighter wore breathing apparatus.”
The road was briefly closed whilst emergency services attended the scene and the road was cleared.
