Carlisle man arrested after car fails to stop for police

[P]olice are appealing for a witness to an incident where a motorist failed to stop for officers in west area of Carlisle.

On Friday 1st September at 11.15pm a silver Sear Leon failed to stop for officers and travelled through Longburgh. The vehicle forced its way past a white Ford Fiesta while attempting to evade police.

Police would like to speak to the driver of the white Fiesta as part of this investigation.

A 23-year-old man from Carlisle was arrested for dangerous driving and failure to stop.
