Firefighters tackling blaze at disused school near Appleby

At 6:40am today, Monday 18 September firefighters were called to a disused school on Edenfold, Bolton, near Appleby-in-Westmorland.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, one from Appleby and two from Sedbergh, are currently at the scene and are using two hose reel jets and two thermal imaging cameras to bring the fire under control.”
