[F]ollowing another successful year of operating a Charity of the Year initiative David Allen have announced Jigsaw as their new charity partner from September 2017.
Jigsaw provides day to day care, support and activities to children and young people living with a life limiting illness. Care is provided in a home from home setting and each young person’s care is personalised towards their own needs.
The Jigsaw ethos is to work in partnership with the children and young adults, their family, carers and other professionals. They aim to maintain the children and young adult’s normal routine and make each stay as special and as enjoyable as possible.
Kerrie Allison, Practice Manager at the firm said: “We launched our Charity of the Year initiative in 2015 and since this time we have raised more than £40,000 for local charities, something we are very proud of. We recently had the pleasure of visiting Jigsaw and were delighted to witness it first-hand as a place of fun and laughter where children and young adults can stay and create memories which will last a lifetime. Appointing Jigsaw as our Charity of the Year will support the charity to provide and develop their care facilities for local children and young adults and we couldn’t think of a better charity to support in 2017/18!
Chris Bray, Head of Marketing & Income Generation from Jigsaw said: “We are over the moon David Allen has chosen Jigsaw as their charity of the year partner. David Allen have a proven track record of raising large sums of money which will support children and young adults with life limiting conditions across Cumbria. We look forward to the year ahead and our first event working with some of the David Allen crew at the launch of Pay for a Day for Jigsaw taking place at the hospice on Monday 9th October”
