Firefighters tackle Barrow house fire

[A]t 6:48pm yesterday, Monday 25 September firefighters were called to a house fire on Egerton Court, Barrow-in-Furness.

Crews, from Barrow and Walney attended the incident which was in the attic of a property.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet and a drag rake to extinguish the fire.

“Fire crews were at the scene for two and a half hours.”
