Barrow police appeal after homophobic hate crime

[P]olice are investigating a hate incident that occurred on Salthouse Road, Barrow.

The incident occurred at approximately 3.30pm on 27th September.

A teenage boy shouted homophobic abuse towards an adult woman near to the bus stop.

Cumbria Constabulary takes such incident extremely seriously and officers would like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information which would assist.

Anyone with information is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 quoting incident number 179 of 27th September and ask to speak to PC 2586 Cairns. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
