Police appeal after Carlisle burglary

[B]etween 4.30pm on the 30th Sept and just after midnight into the 1st Oct, a detached house on Durdar Road, Carlisle, was broken into by person/s unknown, entering through the glass porch and then the inner door.

Once inside the house was ransacked and numerous items of gold jewellery was stolen including gold double and single Albert watch chains, along with a number of rings inset with various stones.

Also taken was an “Ingersol” gents pocket watch.

This occurred when it would have still been light and the attacked premises are near to the Black Lion public house.

Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen suspicious persons or activity in that area around the time of the offence. If anyone has any information, please contact DC 521 Ian Chappell at Carlisle CID or through 101 or anonymously using crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
