[C]umbria Police has confirmed that the internal systems affected by a technical outage have been restored.
Earlier today a number of internal systems and applications were affected by the outage.
Superintendent Matt Kennerley said: “The ability to answer 999 and non-emergency calls were not affected and patrols were increased across the county to ensure that the safety of the public was not compromised.
“Members of the public wanting to contact the police regarding a non-emergency are still asked to use our online reporting system, via our website, and avoid calling our non-emergency line whilst we continue testing our internal systems.
“We would like to thank the public for their support in using our other reporting channels while a number of our systems were down.”
There is no evidence at this time to suggest that this was related to any malicious activity.
