[O]n a very small 3G astro pitch this was never going to be an easy game. A youthful Bolton team were in determined mood and it made for a very competitive game.
Penrith started brightly and had 2 clear changes in the first 5 mins of the game but having squandered these the game drifted into a battle of attrition. Penrith were struggling to break down a hard working Bolton team.
Bolton too were playing some good football without really threatening the Penrith goal.
An even first half ended goalless.
Into the 2nd half Penrith finally began to take the initiative. They were pressuring higher up the pitch and the momentum was building . Eventually Penrith were rewarded with the opening goal. Becca Alderson intercepted the ball and made a determined run into the final third of the pitch. She bas brought down 25 meters out and Nat Broad converted the resulting free kick to give Penrith the lead.
Bolton responded and pinned Penrith back for a period. Penrith saw out this period and then gradually regained control of the game.
Penrith secured the points late on when Sarah Smith made a run down the wing and crossed for Georgia Campbell the fired home from 4 yards. This was 16 year old Campbellās first competitive goal for the club.

Penrith maintained their impressive record of having not conceded a league goal to date this season.
The win take Penrith to the top of the North West Womens Regional League Division 1(North).
This match saw Nat Broad make her 100th appearance for the Penrith AFC Ladies.
