[B]AINES WILSON LLP, Cumbria’s exclusively business focused law firm has once again been recognised as one of the north of England’s leading legal firms, with its specialist departments receiving top-tier rankings and recommendations in the latest (2017) edition of the Legal 500 guide.

FIFTEEN of the firm’s solicitors are highly recommended and Sean Logue, Head of Commercial Property is also the only Cumbrian lawyer recommended in the elite “Leading Lawyers” list in the guide to outstanding lawyers nationwide.

Legal 500 said Baines Wilson’s clients highly praise its corporate team for its ‘strong technical knowledge’, its ‘commercial outlook’, and its ability to ‘provide straightforward and practical advice, making it a key name on any shortlist’.

The firm’s commercial property team is commended for having “an excellent overall service” with head of department, Sean Logue, praised as “incredible”. The firm’s dispute resolution department also achieved a top tier ranking and its employment team is recognised for its ‘notable expertise’ in acting exclusively for employers; with partner Joanne Holborn highlighted as an expert in matters relating to sickness absence and rehabilitation.

All Partners of Baines Wilson get a special mention and are highly regarded in the legal guide.

Partner, Sean Logue comments, “We are really pleased with this year’s Legal 500 rankings which has added even more of our solicitors to those highly recommended by this prestigious guide. We have been consistently recognised by the Legal 500 over many years and we would very much like to thank our clients and business contacts for their positive comments, on which our rankings are based.”

The Legal 500 assesses law firms based on the size and resources but also on the extent that clients recommend it in a particular field. Recognition is therefore independent confirmation of its expertise and quality of service.

Baines Wilson is also ranked by the respected Chambers guide.
