[p]ladis’ finance team was awarded ‘In-House Finance Team of the Year’ at the British Accountancy Awards, announced on 13th October, 2017.

The British Accountancy Awards celebrate excellence in the Accounting and Finance profession. The award for ‘In-House Finance Team of the Year’ specifically calls out a team that has taken a unique and innovative approach to improving business performance

Commenting on the win, pladis’ Head of Supply Chain Finance, UK, Jonny Jacobs, said: “When Storm Desmond swept across Cumbria, the McVitie’s factory was left 6-feet under water.

“The finance team was at the heart of the recovery project, which involved working in true collaboration across the business and with great speed and agility. We supported our team to restore the site from devastation and even managed to turn it into a growth opportunity.  I’m immensely proud of this recognition at the British Accountancy Awards which is reflective of the hard work and dedication of our team.”
