[A] man who climbed on top of a lorry as it drove along Kirby Misperton Road has been arrested.
The man, who is believed to be a fracking protester climbed onto a lorry near the junction with the A169, at 9.50am.
The road was blocked and police put a contraflow system in place, so traffic was able to pass the lorry.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “The man climbed down from the lorry at 2.10pm.
“He was arrested on suspicion of holding onto a motor vehicle in motion, an offence under the Road Traffic Act.
“He remains in custody at this time.”
