[O]fficers are appealing for witnesses following an incident of affray in Maryport on Wednesday afternoon.
Police attended Mill Street car park in Maryport at around 4pm following a report of a group of men fighting. It is alleged that at least one of those involved was in possession of a hammer.
A 37-year old man from Flimby was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.
A 44-year-old man of no fixed address was also arrested on suspicion of affray.
Both have been released under police investigation.
Nobody has presented themselves at the scene as having suffered injuries.
