[A] man from West Cumbria has appeared at the North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Carlisle charged with theft by an employee.
Matthew Lawrence Binns, 29, gave his postal address as The Promenade, Maryport.
The allegation is that he stole computers and computing equipment from the National Health Service to the value of £47k, over dates between January 11, 2016 and May in 2017.
No plea was entered today, District Judge Gerald Chalk was told Binns worked in the IT section of the NHS Cumbria Partnership.
The case was sent to Crown Court to be heard on December 1.
