[O]fficers in Gretna are investigating a break-in to a house in Bensmoor Road, Springfield, which happened sometime between 1800 hours and 2350 hours on Tuesday 7 November 2017.
During that time, while the house was empty, a break-in took place and a quantity of cash and a 32″ television was stolen.
Constable Jim Bell said: “During the time that the elderly householder was out of the house a break-in has taken place. The house appears to have been searched through and the television and cash taken. The house is in a row of four houses and we are carrying out door to door enquiries in the area.
“We want anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the area on Tuesday night to call us at Gretna on the 101 number.”
