Firefighters tackle Lazonby barn blaze

[A]t 5:47pm yesterday, Tuesday 14 November firefighters were called to approximately two tonnes of hay on fire in a barn on the B6413, at Lazonby near Penrith.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters used lighting equipment, a hose reel jet, a drag rake and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the blaze.

“Crews were at the scene for 50 minutes.”
