[F]ollowing a call from a member of the public, police officers attended Dalston Railway Station nr Carlisle on August 14, and found Jordon John Grieve, smoking what the court was told was a “Spiff”.
District Judge Gerald Chalk was told how when the officers approached a group of males at the railway station they could smell what they thought was an illegal substance.
Green was arrested for possession and attended the magistrates court in the city, he pleaded guilty to possession of a quantity of a controlled Class B drug cannabis/cannabis resin and admitted to “smoking weed” he gave his address as Crakegarth, Dalston.
When searched Grieve had a small amount of the drug in his trouser pocket and a drugs-grinder was also found.
The judge fined the 20-year-old £125, with prosecution costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £30, he also ordered the forfeiture of the drugs and the grinder.
