[S]ANTA will once again take up residency at The Beacon Museum this Christmas, with another exciting activity trail in store for children.
Children can complete Santa’s special Christmas card as they explore the Whitehaven museum and follow his clues. This event runs at the same time as the Little Works of Art greetings card exhibition.
The Beacon Museum’s Business Development Manager, Alan Irwin, said: “The Christmas trail is back and is running at weekends and then the full week before Christmas. Santa had a delightful December at The Beacon Museum last year and has been on a strict regime of mince pies and milk to get in shape for the weeks ahead.
“We know that the children of West Cumbria are very creative, and our workshops are ready and waiting for them to come and have some fun.”
The Christmas workshop will be bigger and better than ever before, with games, craft activities and Santa’s grotto all included. Entry to the museum is £5 for children taking part in the trail. Standard admission rates apply for family members, and Copeland residents can enter for free with a free Copeland Pass (this does not include the trail.) The events are suitable for children aged 3+.
The Santa Trail runs on:
- Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 December, 11am until 4pm (last entry 3pm)
- Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December, 11am until 4pm (last entry 3pm)
- Saturday 16 to Friday 22 December, 11am until 4pm (last entry 3pm)
