[A] MAN has admitted a West Cumbria burglary during which scaffolding wagons valued at around £80,000 were stolen.
Thirty-year-old Elijah Boswell faced one charge when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON).
Boswell pleaded guilty to one offence of burglary. The charges states that he entered part of a building at Paton Brothers’ compound, Workington, as a trespasser and stole three scaffolding wagons.
These are said by the prosecution to be valued at between £70,000 and £80,000.
The crime occurred on October 24 last year.
Boswell, of Smithies Lane, Barnsley, had his case adjourned until January 3 by Judge Barbara Forrester, who asked for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
Boswell is due to be sentenced at the crown court on that date. In the meantime he was granted unconditional bail by the judge.
