[A] HUSBAND and wife have admitted taking part in violence which flared in a Workington park.
Emma May Bishop, 37, and 40-year-old William Peter Bishop each faced one charge when they appeared alongside each other in a Carlisle Crown Court dock today (THURS).
Emma Bishop pleaded guilty to wounding a male teenager on December 4 last year. Her husband admitted one offence of affray relating to the same date.
The charges are said to arise out of a night-time incident at Workington’s Vulcans Park.
No information about their criminal conduct was given in court.
Recorder Michael Murray adjourned the case, telling the couple, both of Whitfield Court, Workington, the would receive their respective punishments on January 12.
William Bishop, said to be already serving a jail sentence for separate offending, was told he would remain in custody.
His wife was granted bail. However, Recorder Murray told her: “You must understand that the overwhelming likelihood is that you will go to prison.”
