Man arrested after woman, 22, hurt in Ulverston attack

[P]olice are investigating an alleged assault which took place during the early hours of Sunday, 26th November 2017.

A 22-year-old woman was walking along the lane between the A590 at Swarthmoor and Urswick Road, Ulverston when she was assaulted.

She sustained an injury to her arm following the incident which required hospital treatment. She also suffered bruising and had her mobile phone damaged during the incident.

A 25-year-old man from Ulverston has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning GBH and criminal damage. He has been released under investigation.

Police are appealing for witnesses to this assault and in particular wish to speak to an unknown male who stopped to assist the female on the road between Swarthmoor and Urswick Road.
