Police probe Cockermouth ATM raid

[C]umbria Police are investigating the attempted theft of an ATM machine from Low Road, Cockermouth.

The incident happened overnight, before 3:08am, on Tuesday, 5th December.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “This is the fourth ATM in West Cumbria to be targeted since September. Whilst we are not currently linking these incidents, we are following all lines of enquiry.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area.”
