[O]ak Tree Animals’ Charity in Wetheral is hosting a fabulous watercolour exhibition by local artist Natalie Graham, promoting the benefits of adopting an animal from a rescue centre. The beautiful paintings depict animals who are resident, or have been recently adopted from Oak Tree and includes dogs, cats and horses.
Natalie had her first solo exhibition aged 21, and since then has exhibited a number of times, as well as taking part in numerous shows and competitions, including being a finalist in the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation Artist of the Year where her work was exhibited in the Mall Galleries London. She also was successful in the BBC Little Postcard Art Challenge, where 6 of her works were selected for the large exhibition in Manchester
A keen rescue dog owner, Natalie said “I strongly believe and support animal adoption and work closely with Oak Tree Animals’ Charity providing artwork for sale with all the proceeds going to the Charity to help with the amazing work they do.”
Caroline Johnson, General Manager at Oak Tree, said “We are excited to be able to show Natalie’s beautiful artwork which showcases our animals. Having adopted Duke, her rescue greyhound from Oak Tree, we are delighted to have her continued support of our charity to help so many other animals in need.”
The ‘Adopt don’t Shop’ is open daily (except Tuesdays) throughout December and January between 10am and 4pm at Oak Tree Farm, Wetheral Shields, Carlisle CA4 8JA.
