[T]HREE men who deny committing a Carlisle robbery will go on trial early next year.
Jack Youngson, 22, Matthew Holliday, 32, and 31-year-old Anthony Wigham all appeared at the city’s crown court today (FRI).
During a short hearing they each denied one charge. This alleges that they robbed Jason Littlewood of cash and a mobile phone.
It is said this occurred in Carlisle on August 8 this year.
The three men were told they will go on trial on front of a jury at the crown court on March 12. It is estimated this hearing will last three to four days.
In the meantime, Judge James Adkin granted conditional bail to Youngson, of Henderson Road; Holliday, of Cavendish Court, Warwick Road; and Wigham, of Fairfield Gardens, all Carlisle.
