[A] WORKINGTON man has admitted assaulting his ex-partner – and contacting her when he was not supposed to.
Nicholas David Musgrave, 29, faced two offences when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (MON).
Musgrave pleaded guilty to assaulting Lyndsey Wallace by beating on October 18. He also admitted acting in breach of a restraining order, imposed by magistrates in April, 2016. This had prohibited him from making any contact with Miss Wallace.
The court heard Musgrave had put forward a basis for his guilty plea to the restraining order breach.
Judge Peter Hughes QC adjourned the case. Musgrave, of Thwaite Bank, Northside, is due to be sentenced for the two offences at the crown court on December 22.
In the meantime he was remanded in custody by Judge Hughes.
