[A] YOUNG mum who repeatedly stabbed a 17-year-old male must wait to receive her punishment for the crime.
Zoe Adams, 19, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court last month, and admitted unlawfully and maliciously wounding the teenager with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
This followed an incident at an address in Wigton, on July 29, when she stabbed the victim, who was left wounded in five separate places on his body.
A judge had warned Adams, of Brindlefield, Wigton, she faces a “significant” sentence for the crime.
This was due to have been handed down at the crown court today (THURS).
However, the hearing was adjourned after Judge James Adkin concluded he needed more detailed background information – including a psychiatric report on the defendant.
Adams is now due to be sentenced at the crown court on February 16. She remains in custody.
