[T]he final stage of unique Lake-District music lounge bar, Baha, has been completed, with the third floor of the luxury establishment opening for exclusive clientele. Baha, based on Ash Street in Bowness-on-Windermere, is Cumbria’s very first late-night lounge and ‘music bar’, and opened its doors following huge anticipation in July of this year. The £3 million project, which started in early 2016, is now complete with all three floors open for business.
Catering for those seeking an exclusive, five-star experience, the 3rd floor at Baha will serve clients wishing to take full advantage of the very best that the venue has to offer. Decked in shimmering wallpaper throughout and with a multi-coloured dancefloor area, VIP guests will be able to benefit from table service, booth-seating for up to 20 guests and renowned DJ’s.
Specialising in cocktails, bottles and on-brand drinks in a sleek and stylish environment, the sumptuous space will also be available for private hire for special occasions, with a capacity of approximately 100 people. No expense has been spared in designing the 3rd floor, the brainchild of Stephen Hargreaves and team members, Kay Harrison-Mann and Graham Hadaway, with the very latest technology helping to create a unique space in the North-West.
“We have used the latest technology in music, AV and lighting to ensure that users are blown away by this incredible environment,” said Hargreaves. “It will be the most exclusive hire space in the North of England and clients will be able to celebrate in style, creating their own bespoke surroundings with the user-controlled i-pad; everything can be controlled at the touch of a button.”
Hargreaves and his team opened Baha after spotting a ‘gap in the market’ for an upbeat, on-trend establishment with a cool vibe which will appeal to tourists worldwide. The ground floor, which serves as a lounge bar, has, since opening, featured revered live musicians and DJ’s such as Natasha Kitty Katt, James Bailey, Phil Rose AKA Jaegerosa and Ed Mahon.
“We have been packed to the rafters since July, with locals and tourists who have come to experience the very best DJ’s and live music at Baha,” he says. “People who come to Bowness just do not expect to find something like this here. We have put the area on the map in a big way.”
The lounge bar offers a contemporary food menu, with sharing dishes and city-style brunches, specialising in cocktails, quality gins, vodkas, rums and craft beers.
The second floor, which opened in September, features the main restaurant, a tasting house grill and fish selection, with international-themed dishes and an extensive wine list. Opulently furnished with plush booths and crystal chandeliers, the restaurant at Baha has become an instant hit for those seeking a refined, modern eatery in the heart of the Lake District.
“I am absolutely delighted to launch the 3rd floor at Baha and know it’s going to become ‘the place to be’ for clients who want something very special,” concludes Hargreaves. “It has been created with the customer in mind; once here, they’re in control! Having now finalised the entire project, I couldn’t be happier with the result and feedback so far has been tremendous!”
