Man trapped after car plunges down A7 embankment

[A] man has been rescued after his car crashed and went down an embankment on the A7 near Carlisle.

At 4:10pm today, Friday 22 December firefighters were called to a road traffic collision with one person trapped on the A7 at Harker, Carlisle.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “One car was involved in the crash where a car went down an embankment.

“Crews released the casualty from the car before handing him into the care of paramedics.”
