Two men taken to hospital after woman, 52, found dead in Carrutherstown

[A]n investigation has been launched following the suspicious death of a woman in Carrutherstown.

About 0603 hours on Friday 22 December 2017, police received a report of a male having been found injured near to Carrutherstown Village. Emergency services attended and a further injured male was found nearby.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Both men were taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.

“At that time a 52 year old woman was pronounced dead within a nearby property.

“The Police investigation is still ongoing and officers remain at the scene.”

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Loreburn Street Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0552 of 22 December 2017.  Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.
