Spray and flooding on some roads is likely to make for longer journeys.
Flooding of low-lying areas is also possible with a lower risk of flooding of individual properties.
A spokesman for the Met office said: “A further 30 to 50 mm of rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening, including some intense bursts, which could lead to flooding in a few areas.”
