Family pay tribute to biker killed in Partington crash

Cole Porter (R) and his sister Hannah Porter (L).

[T]he family of a man who died in a collision in Partington has paid tribute to him.

Shortly before 1.45pm on Monday 25 December 2017, a white Yamaha FZ6 motorcycle was being ridden in a south-easterly direction along Moss Lane.

At the same time a blue Peugeot 206 was travelling along Hardwick Road.

As the Peugeot reached the junction, it was involved in a collision with the motorcycle. The rider, a 21-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he sadly died some time later.

The driver of the Peugeot stayed at the scene and no arrests have been made.

The rider of the motorcycle has since been formally identified as Cole Porter.

Paying tribute to him, Cole’s family said: “Cole was a loving son, a caring brother and a loyal friend.

“He was passionate and driven, with the world at his feet. He had the softest heart and a laugh that would fill up the room.

“He meant everything to his friends and even more to his family, and will remain in our hearts forever. Our beautiful boy.

“We are heart broken and would appreciate privacy at this devastating time.”
