[A]t 10:35pm yesterday, Thursday 28 December firefighters were called to a fire involving an oven in a property on Whernside, Carlisle.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a carbon dioxide extinguisher to put out the fire.
“No one was injured during the incident and all the people in the house had evacuated before the arrival of fire crews.
“Firefighters were at the scene for an hour and a half.”
