Man seriously injured in Carlisle nightclub attack

Police want to speak to this man

[P]olice are investigating a serious assault in a Carlisle nightclub.

The assault occurred on Saturday 23rd December at 3.30am in the corridor area of Queens Bar on Botchergate.

The victim, a man in his late-thirties, was punched by a man in his forties whilst he was stood with friends in the main corridor near to the toilets.

The offender made off from the bar seconds later.

The victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries that may have a lasting-effect on his health.

Police would like to speak to the man pictured in the CCTV footage.
