[A] CARLISLE man will be sentenced by a judge later this month after he admitted theft and violence offences.
Brian Anthony James Harold, 35, faced three charges when he appeared at the city’s crown court today (MON).
Harold admitted stealing a bottle of wine and also coffee from the Foreways store at Newlaithes Avenue in Carlisle on December 5. He also pleaded guilty to one offence of affray.
Harold had originally been facing a robbery charge. But after he pleaded not guilty to that allegation during today’s hearing, the prosecutor formally offered no evidence on that count.
Harold, of Westriggs Road, Carlisle, was told by Judge Barbara Forrester that he is due to be sentenced for the theft and affray charges on Thursday of next week. The court heard he is facing an immediate jail term.
In the meantime, Harold was remanded in custody by Judge Forrester.
