[E]den District Council’s planning department would like to remind members of the public that national planning fees are set to rise by 20% on Wednesday 17 January 2018.
The fee increases were originally planned by the national government in the summer 2017, but due to other pressing issues the proposed increases did not get approved by both houses of Parliament until the 20 December 2017.
From the 17th January a householder extension application will require a fee of £206, a change of use £462 and for a small agricultural building the fee will be £96.
If applicants have any doubts then the planning portal has a fee calculator at https://1app.planningportal.co.uk/FeeCalculator/Standalone?region=1 or they can contact the Council’s duty planning officer on weekdays between 10am and 1pm by calling 01768 817817 or by visiting the Council’s Mansion House Offices in Penrith.
