Penrith AFC Ladies 11 – 1 Bolton Wanderers Reserves

[P]enrith AFC Ladies’ Nat Broad netted a magnificent seven goals in the teams dominant performance over Bolton Wanderers Reserves.

A young Bolton Wanderers team were overwhelmed by the power and pace of an experienced Penrith team. The writing was on the wall when Penrith took the lead in their first meaningful attack in the 3rd minute with Broad rounding the keeper and firing into an empty net.

Penrith, playing with a high intensity, inserted their authority on the game and by half time had amassed a 5-0 lead.

At half time Penrith made 3 substitutions which included the introduction of 16 year old Abbie Frizzle who was making her debut for the club.

Penrith continued to dominate in the 2nd half and scored further goals at regular intervals.

Bolton, to their credit, never gave up and themselves scored a well worked goal.

The game ended with an 11-1 victory with goals from Nat Broad(7), Hannah Coulthard, Charlotte Smith, Sarah Smith and Heather Fawkes.

This Sunday Penrith travel to face Workington Reds.
