[A] Cheshire man who admitted to selling drugs in Kendal has been sent to prison.
Ben O’Brien, 22, of Siddorn Street, Winsford, was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months at Carlisle Crown Court on Friday (January 12th), after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply crack cocaine.
On November 4th O’Brien was stopped by officers on Hayclose Road, Kendal, in possession of 51 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine and £700 cash.
In his initial police interview, he denied supplying drugs, but later pleaded guilty to the offences at court.
DC Tom Pearman, of the South Intelligence Unit said: “This man had come to Kendal from outside of Cumbria to sell heroin and crack cocaine, and his arrest and the subsequent sentence imposed upon him reflects the serious, pro-active approach that police in the town are taking to street level drug dealing in the area.”
