Missing Aintree man found safe

[A] man who was reported missing from his home in Aintree and believed to be in the Ambleside area has tonight been found safe.

Anthony Fisher Jones, 32, was last seen on Taunton Drive at 8.30am on Wednesday 17th January.

Following an appeal by Merseyside Police there were reports that Anthony was spotted in the Ambleside area on Wednesday night.

A spokesman for his family posted on Facebook: “We have fantastic news! Anthony has been found and is being taken care of.

“We cannot express how grateful we all are for all the efforts involved in sharing and searching and commenting and the passing on of information.

“We are truly overwhelmed at all the efforts and comments from everyone to help and there is no way to thank you all!

“We would like it if you could please respect our privacy at this time, but appreciate that you will all be pleased too.”
