[P]olice are investigating a suspicious incident on Church Street, Maryport, on Tuesday January 16th at around 3.15pm.

During this incident a masked male cycled past a 13-year-old school girl, in close proximity, scaring her as he did so.

He did not make contact or speak to her, and cycled away towards Netherhall Corner.

He was described as white, late 20s, approx 5’4, shaved brown hair, wearing a light khaki jacket, black pants, black boots and a diamond shaped mask over his mouth.

This may well have been a perfectly innocent action, however police are investigating the circumstances.

Anyone with information should call 101 quoting log 115 of 16/01/18, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
