Firefighters tackle Silloth house fire

[A]t 7.22pm last night (30 January) two fire engines from Silloth and Aspathria stations attended Alma Terrace in Silloth following reports of a fire in the hearth area of a sub basement and ground floor of a four storey house.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one thermal image camera as well as small tools and lighting to extinguish the fire.

“They were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes.”
