Man arrested after fraudulent activity in Whitehaven

Police are appealing for witnesses following the reports of fraudulent activity in the Bransty area of Whitehaven.

The reports involve a man knocking on doors and asking for money.

It is believed this activity could have been occurring for up to six months, however, these reports have only recently been brought to the attention of police.

Police are keen to hear from any potential victims or witnesses who have not yet spoken to police.

A 38 year-old man from Whitehaven has been arrested in relation to these fraud offences.  He has since been released under investigation.
