[A] Millom woman has been placed on electronic tag after causing damage to a vehicle and harassment to it’s owner.
Amanda Cosgrove, of Cook Road, appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court in Barrow on February 8th, where she pleaded guilty to two separate offences.
The 43-year-old admitted damaging a Citroen on Devonshire Road, Millom on September 20th 2017 and harassment on September 25th 2017.
She was ordered to pay court costs of £620 and compensation to the owner of the Citroen for £60.
Magistrates issued Cosgrove with an electronic tag and placed her on a curfew for ten weeks to run between the hours of 6pm and 6am.
A police spokesperson said: “By having a tag and curfew imposed on her, I hope Amanda will be deterred from offending in the future.
“This case shows that both damaging a person’s property and harassing them is taken seriously by the police and the prosecution service and offenders will be dealt with accordingly.”
