Snow warning issued for Cumbria

[S]now is likely to fall over high ground for a time late Wednesday morning and during the afternoon.

This may also fall to low levels temporarily.

Some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services.

A Met Office spokesman said: “A band of rain will push eastwards across northern England through Wednesday.

“This is likely to fall as snow mainly above 200m with accumulations of 5cm possible over some higher routes.”
