Pedestrian critical after Ulverston collision

[C]umbria Police is appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Saturday night (17 Feb, 2018).

The collision took place in Victoria Road, Ulverston, at around 10.40pm and involved a red Audi A3 .

The pedestrian, a man in his 20s from the Ulverston area, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains at Preston Hospital today in a critical condition.

Officers arrested the driver of the Audi on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst over the specified drug limit.

He has been released under investigation whilst officers continue with their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it is urged to contact police referencing incident 284 of 17 February 2018.
