Police appeal after cat shot dead in Aspatria

Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a pet cat which subsequently lost its life as a result.

The animal is believed to have been shot by an air rifle or something similar and this incident is said to have occurred between 5pm and 7pm on Sunday 11th February 2018 in the Ellen Garth/Noble Croft area of Aspatria.

Police are appealing to the local community to establish if anyone has witnessed or has any knowledge of the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 and ask to speak to PC Fuller, quoting incident number 204 of the 11th February. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
